Mariel Acosta-Garcia

Mariel Acosta-Garcia was born and raised in Miami, Florida, graduating from Lourdes Academy High School in South Miami. She practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration (Formal and Summary), Guardianship Administration and Taxation. Before joining Vasallo Sloane, Mariel was a partner at the law firm of Levin & Acosta-Garcia, a boutique law firm located in Miami. Mariel received her law degree from Florida International University, where she obtained both her law degree and Bachelor of Arts degree. She has maintained strong ties with the University and presently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences and on the Alumni Association for the College of Law at the University. She also serves as a committee member for the Cuban American Bar Association, coordinating and organizing numerous events throughout the year, most of which benefit the association’s pro bono project which provides legal services to indigent minorities. Mariel is also a member of the Real Property, Probate, Trust and Tax Sections of the Florida Bar and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami.
